Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Controller to support our business operations. In particular, we want to get more detailed insight into our activities with improved financial analyses, monitoring, control, and reporting.

The Financial Controller will take the lead in developing processes and implementing measures. The Financial Controller will also take ownership of the relevant modules of the ERP. The scope of responsibility is on Solenix group level, i.e. across all Solenix companies. This position is for a pro-active person that would like to contribute to shaping the future of our international company. The holder of the position will also support our financial administration for invoicing, payments, and reporting by aligning the relevant processes, and act as emergency backup of the financial administrator’s responsibilities.

Duties and Collaboration

• Financial processes
  • Define, review, and improve our financial processes
• ERP
  • Take ownership of the relevant modules of the ERP
• Cashflow
  • Maintain a cashflow report
  • Formulate recommendations to improve the cashflow
• Performance Analysis
  • Analyse our projects in terms of profitability
  • Formulate recommendations to improve profitability
  • Propose internal and external hourly rates for our projects
• Budget & Forecasting
  • Develop the group's budgets together with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain a P&L forecast
• Business plans
  • Contribute to business plans and financial proposals for our activities
• Support the company in other financial matters

The Financial Controller will

• Report to the CEO
• Work in close collaboration with the CEO, division heads, team managers, project managers, finance administrator
• Interact with external tax advisors and accountants

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or similar in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• Experience with ERPs, preferably odoo
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, especially analytical accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in defining and improving financial processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English
• Good knowledge of German and Italian is an asset
• Experience in international financial management is an asset

We follow a hybrid scheme, which means you are expected to work two days per week at our office (or more if you like), and on the remaining days you can work from home.
